Microsoft Expands Backup Options for Office 365

Microsoft's expansive cloud architecture, was has been headed up by numerous IT firms, including Cloud|AG, has recently expanded their Office 365 functionality by offering multiple levels of granular backup to their users. The announcement, which came in late 2014, is expected to enhance cloud accessibility, streamline the entire data backup process and, as a result, garner increased business for all parties involved.

Michael Ganote, vice president of sales at Cloud|AG, spoke highly of their new partnership in a recent interview, where he was quoted as saying: "Microsoft strongly recommends Office 365 customers have a granular backup/restore strategy for their cloud assets. Our backup services provide organizations the ability to maintain the same level of protection and control over their cloud-based assets as they experience with on-premises solutions."

The new option, which requires users to opt into, gives the professionals at Cloud|AG the ability to configure backup strategies while monitoring real-time results. Alternatively, users who wish to manage the cloud-based backup functionality on their own are still capable of doing so.

Patrick Felder, president with Southern Sales Reps, explained how Office 365 and Cloud|AG has helped his enterprise. He was quoted as saying: "Our company was at the point where we needed to make a change with how we manage our account data, business documents, communications; basically everything. While other companies focused on what would solve our immediate needs, Cloud|AG showed us how Office 365 would handle any future requirements, as well."

Users who do sign up to Cloud|AG's new backup services will enjoy full data backups, easily accessible file restoration and the ability to oversee long-term data management strategies. Moreover, all of the backups can be stored either on Microsoft Azure's cloud-based storage or through a client-specified FTP. This ensures access to archived data whenever it is needed, while mobile accessibility gives users the option of accessing their files from nearly any mobile device or smartphone.

Doug Rowles, vice president with EMCOR Government Services, described how Cloud|AG helped his organization migrate their data away from a legacy system. He was quoted as saying: "Cloud|AG helped us migrate from a traditional electronic file storage system to a collaborative document management system. We are now using Office 365 and ServicePoint365 in a way that has improved collaboration within our team and with 3rd party contractors. They started with a comprehensive review of our business, and guided our team through a pilot project which enabled us to tailor the system specifically to our work processes. Cloud|AG was very knowledgeable, easy to work with and their focus on end-user satisfaction was outstanding."

Those who are interested in trying Office 365 can take advantage of a free 30-day trial, which is offered directly by Cloud|AG.
